About UCP Virtual School

Immersive Learning Academy, as part of the UCP Charter School Network, is a full-time virtual school for students in grades K–5 offering live instruction, personalized learning, and flexible pacing. Through inclusive instruction and strong family partnership, students are supported academically and socially in a structured virtual setting.

What Learning Looks Like: Students participate in live instruction, small groups, and independent learning.

Families serve as learning coaches, supported by clear routines, guidance, and ongoing teacher communication.

Mission: To deliver an inclusive, student-centered virtual learning experience that removes barriers, honors individual strengths, and empowers every student to think critically, build resilience, and succeed in school and in life without limits.

Grades: Available from Kindergarten to 5th

Required Enrollment Documents

Families must provide the following documents during registration:

Proof of Age (Birth Certificate or Passport)
Recent Report Card or Academic Records (for previously enrolled students)
Official Transcripts (if applicable)
Homeschool Documentation (if previously homeschooled)
Proof of Florida Residency
Proof of Continuous School Enrollment

Important:
If the school is unable to obtain prior academic records through a records request, the legal guardian is responsible for providing those documents within 30 days of enrollment.

Families will be notified if additional documentation is needed.

Program Overview

Immersive Learning Academy is a tuition-free public charter school that provides a fully online elementary school experience for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Students complete all core subjects including:

Through the UCP Charter Schools inclusion model, ILA supports students with diverse learning needs and provides services and accommodations as determined by the student support team.

Student Support

Immersive Learning Academy follows the UCP Charter Schools inclusion model, supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Services and accommodations are provided as determined by the student support team.

If a student has an Individual Education Plan (IEP) that includes services such as:

Speech Therapy
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Physical Therapy (PT)

ILA works with the UCP team to provide services virtually or in person when appropriate.

Families located near a UCP campus may also access additional therapy services outside the school day.

Behavior and Therapy Services

ILA is an academic program and does not directly provide ABA or behavior therapy services.

However:

UCP offers Unlocking Positive Behavior, an ABA clinic and behavior school
ILA can collaborate with external ABA providers through UCP’s Outside Care Provider process

Technology Requirements

Families must have:

A reliable internet connection
A computer that meets program specifications
- 8 GB Ram/ 500 MB+ storage/ camera

This ensures access to virtual lessons and the online learning platform.

Assistance is available to families who participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/EBT) or National School Lunch Program (Free and Reduced Lunch).

Curriculum

Immersive Learning Academy uses the Stride K12 curriculum, an online learning program aligned with Florida state standards.

The curriculum includes:

Interactive digital lessons
Teacher-led live instruction
Guided independent practice

Students receive instruction in:

English Language Arts
Math
Science
Social Studies
Art
Physical Education

Teachers use real-time student data, small-group instruction, and live lessons to personalize learning.

Transfers from Another UCP Campus

If you would like to transfer your child to Immersive Learning Academy from another UCP campus:

Inform your current campus Enrollment Specialist
Submit a separate application for ILA
